System-Level Thermal Engineering
Reaching 170°F is not simply a matter of making the heater hotter. High-heat performance depends on the sauna working as a complete system, with heater output, cabin construction, heat retention, and electrical design all supporting higher sustained cabin temperatures. That system-level approach is what allows JNH’s latest high-heat models to operate beyond the 140°F range used by many earlier infrared sauna designs.
140°F and 170°F are not “good” and “better.” They are different sauna experiences. Classic infrared models are designed for people who prefer a more moderate heat range, while 170°F models are intended for those who want a stronger, more intense heat experience while still using infrared as the primary heating technology.
