A 3-person red light therapy sauna combines infrared heat with dedicated red and near-infrared light in a cabin designed for shared use. The Arki Trio goes further by surrounding the seated area with both 360° medical-grade red light therapy and 360° full-spectrum infrared rather than delivering either technology primarily from one direction.

The two systems can be used independently or together, giving up to three users a full red light therapy and high-heat infrared sauna experience within one engineered system.

The result is not simply a larger Arki cabin. The system itself is configured around the performance requirements of a 3-person sauna.

Increasing cabin width can create areas that receive more heat or light than others if the system is designed around only a few directional sources. Arki takes a surround approach instead.

The Trio distributes its full-spectrum infrared emitters throughout the cabin, while its medical-grade red light system also surrounds the seated area. The Arki Trio's medical-grade red light therapy system uses red and near-infrared wavelengths from 630–850 nm. At normal seated distance, the system provides approximately 40–60 mW/cm² of irradiance.

Over a 20–30 minute session, that corresponds to an estimated light dose of approximately 48–108 J/cm² to much of the body at once.
