02. Safety Information

Critical Warning

Please read this section in full. While generally safe, infrared therapy requires caution for specific health conditions.

General Safety

  • Never use under influence of alcohol/sedatives.
  • Wait for heart rate to normalize after exercise.
  • Hydrate before, during, and after.
  • Exit immediately if dizzy.

Medical Consultation

  • Pregnant or potentially pregnant.
  • Cardiovascular conditions.
  • Implants (pacemakers, metal rods).
  • Taking blood thinners/diuretics.

Temperature Guidelines

The Arki Outdoor can reach up to 170°F. However, temperatures above 150°F are intense and recommended only for experienced users who have gradually acclimated over many sessions. Most users find their ideal range between 120°F and 145°F. Never exceed 60 minutes per session regardless of temperature.

Electrical Safety: Requires 120V/20A dedicated outlet.

10–15 minutes natural cooling. Don't rush.

05. Before Installation

Site Requirements

Flat, level surface capable of supporting full weight. Do not place directly on grass, soil, or sand.

Clearance Zones

  • Sides/Back: 12 inches from walls/fences.
  • Front: 36 inches for door swing.
  • Overhead: 24 inches clearance above roofline.

07. Electrical

Outlet Requirements

120V / 20Amp

The sauna plug must connect to a dedicated 120V/20A outlet located within 4 feet of the unit. You will only need a licensed electrician if you need to install this specific outlet.

Dedicated Outlet

Must be a dedicated circuit. Do not share with other appliances.

No Hardwiring

The sauna cannot be hardwired. It is designed for plug-in operation only.

Temperature 80°F – 170°F (27°C–77°C)

Temperatures >150°F for experienced users.

Timer 1 – 60 Minutes
Red Light Toggle independently of heat.

09. First Use

Burn-In Protocol
  1. Open door slightly (2 inches) or open vents.
  2. Power on.
  3. Set temperature to Maximum (170°F).
  4. Set timer to 60 minutes.
  5. Do not sit inside.
  6. Let cycle complete and cool down with door open.

10. Daily Operation

Phase 01

Preheat

10-15 mins before use.

Phase 02

Session

20-45 mins. Hydrate.

Phase 03

Cooldown

10-15 mins natural cooling.

12. Care & Maintenance

Exterior (Aluminum)

The aluminum exterior is maintenance-free. No rinsing is required, even in coastal areas.

Note: Avoid abrasive scrubbers to prevent surface scratches. You may lightly dust surfaces monthly.

Interior (Hemlock)

  • Leave door open 15-30 mins post-session.
  • Wipe sweat immediately.
  • No oils or harsh chemicals.
  • Use a towel on bench.

14. Troubleshooting

Sauna Not Heating
  • Check GFCI outlet and circuit breaker.
  • Confirm heaters are toggled ON in control panel.
  • Wait 5 mins for activation.
  • Cold Weather: It may struggle to hit max temp in freezing wind. This is normal.
Red Light Panels Not Working
  • Check toggle on control panel.
  • Turn off sauna main power, wait 30 seconds, restart.
  • If specific panels fail, contact support.
Tripping Breaker

Do not repeatedly reset.

  • Confirm dedicated circuit.
  • Check for moisture in plug/outlet.
  • Contact electrician or support.
Condensation / Smells
  • Smell: Normal during first 1-2 uses. If acrid/burning, stop immediately.
  • Condensation: Normal in cold/humid weather. Leave door open post-session to dry.

Your Arki Duo Outdoor is covered by a 5-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.
